The children of Plymouth School of Creative Arts have created a map of the River Tamar and the surrounding area as their learning enquiry.
History, geography and experience have informed the map, with landmarks and wildlife as well as personal landmarks researched through the creation. Skills including maths, engineering and film-making alongside research and collaboration we used and developed. During the enquiry, the children also documented their making, alongside students at Plymouth School of Art, which are projected onto the map. The map is the second of three versions of the map, with 242 students and 10 staff members collaborating.
This film documents the creating on site of the installation by 20 children from 8-11.
